L.L. Bean became the latest retailer to announce that it will no longer sell guns or ammunition to customers younger than 21.
In response to a tweet from one consumer asking the outdoors retailer to change its policy, the Maine-based retailer replied late Thursday, “In the wake of this shooting we have reviewed our policy on firearm sales, and we will no longer be selling guns or ammunition to anyone under the age of 21.”
L.L. Bean banning guns sales to people under 21 is the second biggest story here, behind of course, the fact that L.L. Bean sells guns. If LL Bean sells guns, then The Gap might as well sell flame throwers. I think at this point, you could probably purchase a hand gun at Auntie Anne’s Pretzels.
If you tried to rob a bank with a gun from LL Bean, I don’t think the teller would be able to keep a straight face. He’d probably just roast you. Like “Hey was that gun part of a buy one get one deal with moccasins?”. All the street cred that comes with carrying a gun is immediately lost when that LL Bean logo is exposed.
It’s even embarrassing for hunting. At least for the animals. Imagine being a wild hog, or a handsome buck, and have it all come to an end as you meet you demise with a fucking LL Bean bullet? There’s nothing more depressing than being killed by something that was made with the same hands of someone who also makes fashionable vests.
The last thing I got out of this article is the amount of free press companies are getting for changing their gun sale policies. So with that, I have to get myself in on the action. The trend is that these companies are all restricting access to firearms to people over 21. That’s cool, but people over 21 can still kill people. So I’m going in a bit of a different direction.
So here is TFATB’s new gun sale policy
For Immediate Release:
Thoughts From A Twin Bed LLC (jk I don’t pay taxes I’m off the grid) has reviewed their policy on firearm sales, and will no longer be selling guns or ammunition to anyone…..UNLESS, they have a really good reason for wanting to kill someone. OR if they can prove the location of Bigfoot, and promise only to hurt him (or her) and not kill.
